I currently work full time as a Health and Fitness Instructor for Oxford NHS trust, alongside working at O'Neill's Strength and Fitness. Working in a therapeutic setting with a range of ability levels I have developed the ability to modify exercise prescription to the specific individual needs of the client.

As a competitive amateur strongman and powerlifter, my personal focus is primarily on strength development and functional hypertrophy. I blend this with my more holistic work for the NHS to provide a well-rounded skill set to all those who I train.

I have trained strength athletes, general gym-goers, and tactical athletes, both in-person and online, and work on bringing the high level of determination and grit required for these fields to all trainees - regardless of whether they hold competitive aspirations or not.

My basic training principles are simple, utilising basic strength development and hypertrophy work combined with simple conditioning tools to increase lean body mass, improve endurance capacity, reduce fat, or develop physical capability.

With a history of services work (ex-police, military, and private ambulance service), I have experience programming around shift-patterns, moderating fatigue, and integrating fitness testing requirements with a more holistic training program.

Let’s work together! Drop us an email to get started!

Sophia Harley

Personal Trainer & Pre/Post-Natal Instructor

  • Level 2 Gym Instructor
  • GGS Pre & Post-natal Coach
  • Level 1 British Powerlifting Coach
  • Level 2 Sports Coach
  • UKAD Accredited Anti-Doping Advisor

My main goal is to spread my passion for life-long learning and fitness; the two go hand in hand!

My expertise lies in Powerlifting and Pre/Post-natal Coaching. I aim to break down the barriers and stigma that surrounds strength training and pregnancy. What I was shocked to realise is, although now it seems so obvious, is that no matter how long ago it was since you gave birth, you are always post-natal! Your body has gone through some magnificent changes and you deserve a workout plan to highlight your strength and the confidence to go with it.

We can do this, team!
